Vaishampayana
The sage Vaishampayana is the traditional narrator of the Mahabharata. He was a pupil of Veda Vyasa, from whom he learnt the Jaya Samhita. He expanded Jaya to write Bharata#, which he recited to the king Janamajeya at the Sarpasatra.
